At Fox & Rose we regularly have to refrain from buying up swathes of soft, delicate yet unstructured bras. After all, can such skimpy underpinnings be practical when as a nation we average a C cup? We are regularly told by the powers that be that scaffolding is mandatory, especially for larger breasts that can succumb to the laws of gravity if not properly supported. Whilst nobody could dispute this at Fox & Rose we still believe the soft bra should feature in your underwear drawer in a spirit of defiance against the accepted norms. There are of course different degrees of unstructured. Ell & Cee’s Rose Damask soft bra is strictly for those blessed with a pert breast. The delightful yet diminutive triangular cups, with intricate embroidery detail, offer minimal support. Alas this piece is so heartbreakingly beautiful it hasn’t stopped us here at Fox & Rose trying it on with varying degrees of success.
For something with a little more structure we are particularly partial to Cosabella’s Never Say Never Sweetie Bra. On our photo shoot our lovely model Kate, who measured a 34D reported that she felt supported and comfortable, in fact she loved it.
For those with larger breasts or slightly less pert ones, there is a huge abundance of delightful soft bras that feature underwiring that give a subtle uplift whilst still retaining their studied delicacy. Damaris the much loved Brit label has brought out a breathtaking set entitled Desir De Nuit. Fashioned from a lush indigo lace, with a smattering of Swarovski crystals on the straps it goes up to an E cup and offers the delicate look one associates with a softer cup yet with ample support. Truly stunning with you’ll agree. The Mimi Holliday Bisou Bisou non padded plunge bra is another bra that goes up to an E even F & G cup with soft black floral lace cup it’s easy to see why this is a hit season after season.
